NEW DELHI: After dodging the’ Priyanka exit’ question for a while Salman Khan has finally laid it out in the world what he thinks of Priyanka leaving Bharat so abruptly.

The actor spoke about the issue at the trailer launch of Loveratri in New Delhi on Monday.

Salman said that Priyanka informed them about leaving the film 10 days before her shoot was to begin.

“I am really happy for her. Had we known that she has signed such a big film in Hollywood and known it well in advance, we would not have stopped her from leaving our film. She told us at the very last moment, just 10 days before the shoot. My shooting had already begun but we got to know she wants to leave the film just 10 days before the shoot,” he said.

Priyanka signed an action movie, Cowboy Ninja Viking with Chris Pratt.

Film’s director Ali Abbas Zafar wrote in a tweet in July that Priyanka was leaving the film in the ‘Nick of time’, hinting at her reported engagement to singer Nick Jonas. It was later revealed that she has also signed an action movie, Cowboy Ninja Viking with Chris Pratt.

While Salman said the team was supportive of her for doing good work, he also said it was her choice if she wants to work with him or a ‘bada hero’ from Hollywood.

“We said, of course, if you don’t want to do it, don’t do it. We were given different reasons back then. But whatever the reason may be, the wedding, the movie, or if she doesn’t want to work in an Indian movie, or doesn’t want to work with me, or work only in Hollywood film and TV, these are her reasons. We are really happy and supportive about her doing good work,” he said.

Priyanka is allegedly engaged to Nick Jonas

“So what if she doesn’t work here? She is making India proud out there. If she doesn’t work with Salman but works with a big hero in Hollywood, she is making India proud,” he added.
