KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and prominent singer Abrar-ul-Haq said pseudo liberals in Pakistan were eagerly awaiting an outbreak of civil war in the aftermaths of recent developments that unfolded following the Faizabad Interchange sit-in protest in Islamabad, ARY News reported.

“It’s my personal opinion that pseudo liberals are being puppet and played by foreign forces. Presumably, the same people were behind alteration of Khatam-e-Nubuwwat (finality of the Prophet (SAWW) clause,” he said talking to ARY News program ‘Sawal Ye Hai’.

Those liberals wanted anarchic resolution of the sit-in protest rather than through reconciliatory or pacific means, he said.

“Liberals are supposed to seek reconciliatory means to resolve an issue, but the so-called liberals in Pakistan were anticipating turmoil in the recent Islamabad sit-in,” he said.

The singer said since those were learned people and could articulate their thoughts to foreign powers and mislead people through TV channels, hence create an influence. General masses were not aware of their tactics, he added.

News analyst Mubashir Zaidi on this occasion admitted existence of liberal extremists in the country and said the genuine liberals desired supremacy of the law and constitution in Pakistan.
