After showing extreme resentment over copyright infringement  of his sister Nazia Hassan’s iconic song Disco Dewane, in the opening ceremony of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Zoheb Hassan has now announced that the franchise will pay tribute to his late sibling at the closing ceremony.

Hassan posted the news on Twitter, “I am pleased to offer our song Dosti to PSL. It will feature along with Disco Deewane as a special Tribute to my (late) sister Nazia Hassan at the HBL PSL closing ceremony in Karachi.”

The singer said, Pakistan’s pop queen’s song Dosti and Disco Deewane will be played at the closing ceremony of the PSL as a tribute to his late co-singer.

Earlier, Hassan had accused PSL of not taking prior permission over using the duo’s famous song Disco Dewane, which was sang by Aima Baig at the opening ceremony on February 14.

He had also threatened to take legal action on the act.

He said: “I was shocked to see that a reputable platform like PSL used our track Disco Dewane without our prior permission. Outright infringement of intellectual property should be condemned and I am going to take a legal stand on this one!”.

The closing ceremony of the fourth edition of PSL will be held at Karachi’s National Stadium on March 17.
