According to details, Mustafa Kamal and Anees Qaimkhani today called on DG Rangers, Major General Bilal Akbar. The meeting held discussion on different issues in Sindh including the ones relating to Karachi.

On the occasion, Gen Akbar praised PSP’s politics of non-violence.

“PSP will continue its efforts for the sake of durable peace in Sindh, including Karachi, for we believe in non-violence,” PSP leaders told Gen Akbar.

The issue of missing persons also came under discussion at the meeting.

In a presser after the meeting with the DG Rangers, he said he was grieved over the death of MQM leader Farooq Sattar’s coordinator, Aftab Ahmed. Such incidents should not happen.

“Disappearance of people will not help make Karachi operation successful. The misled people should be brought into mainstream,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bilal Akbar also announced to open a rehab center for the people gone astray.

Earlier on Friday, the party said it would inaugurate its first overseas unit office in London this month and the first program there would be staging protest outside the residence of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief.

Former Karachi mayor, Mustafa Kamal rocked the political atmosphere in Karachi when he returned to the country on March 4 and dropped a bombshell on MQM with startling revelations against his former party and its chief.

Flanked by Anees Qaimkhani at a crowded press conference, he leveled serious allegations on Altaf Hussain-led party, accusing it of being funded by Indian covert agency RAW and targeted Mr. Hussain for resorting to violent approach in keeping hold of the city.

Disassociating themselves from the MQM on grounds of its ‘links with Indian spy agency’, they announced to form a new party, PSP, in days to follow.

So far, many senior but sidelined MQM faces including Raza Haroon, Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Anees Advocate, Waseem Aftab, Iftikhar Alam have fallen in the folds of PSP, severing their ties with the MQM and leveling similar accusations against its leadership.
