LAHORE: Keeping in view a possible emergency situation ahead of the final verdict on Panama Leaks probe, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry on Sunday alerted the party workers for all possible contingencies.

Addressing a press conference, the PTI spokesperson urged the party workers to be prepared for any sort of emergency situation – either announcement of General Elections or another movement – in wake of the Supreme Court’s final verdict on Panamagate scandal.

He said that the Panamagate Joint Investigation Team (JIT) is going to submit its last 15-day report to the apex court before the Eid and it seemed that the verdict would be announced soon. “Considering the pace of the probe, it looks that the top court will announce its final verdict soon,” Chaudhry added.

He opined that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders had failed to submit a convincing reply to the apex court pertaining to offshore properties. “They have continuously hided the testimonies,” he added.

“They are getting trapped despite striving hard to escape the probe,” he remarked while alleging that the money for Hudaibiya Papers Mills came from motorway commission.

He said if the records of development projects were made public, people would find out about massive money plundering while implying that money laundering is bigger crime than corruption.

He further said that the PTI chief has advised the workers to be prepared for all sort of possible outcomes.
