ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to reorganise the party after the general elections, a notification issued by the Secretary General Arshad Dad said on Saturday.

The notification said that all appointments made by the regional of lower tiers from October 1, 2018 onwards shall remain null and void with immediate effect.

However, these instructions are not applicable for Sindh province, and rather for the central body and the provincial wings of the party.

“It is hereby notified that all new appointments made at or by the regional/lower tiers from the 1st of October, 2018 stand null and avoid ab initio, with immediate effect as the party has started re-organization phase after the last general elections,” said the notification.

“These instructions are applicable to the mother body and all wings of all provinces and regions except the province of Sindh.”

The party has requested current office holders at all tiers to refrain from issuing any further notifications until further orders.

“Therefore, current office holders at all tiers are requested to refrain from issuing any new notifications and wait for further directions,” it further said.

The restructuring will be done in accordance with the party’s constitution and code of conduct, and will be held from the national to union council level.

Well-informed sources revealed that ministers, advisers and those with in government positions will not be allowed to become party office holders. However, Imran Khan is expected to remain as the party chairman.
