Controversial status updates, politically motivated and a gifted actor. That’s who Hamza Ali Abbasi is. The Pakistani hunk who became an overnight sensation with his role as Afzal in Pyarey Afzal spoke at length in a recent interview to a local news channel. One of the most appalling confessions made by the actor was that he had never fallen in love!
Hamza also revealed that once he felt himself attracted to a woman but it was none other than PTI chairman Imran Khan who had advised him to think twice and then take the next step.
“Imran Khan had told me to marry someone whose Qibla is the same as yours, and to me that made a lot of sense.”
Hamza Ali Abbasi also stated that he had never found true love because he had never felt it truly, which was of course a necessary factor.
“I have never fallen in love and the feeling that you can’t live without a person has to be there,” said the actor.
And a little piece of advice for the females who are vying for the actor’s attentions and want to make him their soul-mate.
“I am very opinionated so I can’t live with someone who has no opinions.”
Hamza also laid to rest speculations that his attachment with Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf and its chairman Imran Khan means that the actor could eventually pursue a career in politics.
“I’m not a politician but being a Pakistani, I feel that everyone should have an opinion. If good people stay out of politics, then we will be ruled by scum.”
Hamza also shed light on the fact that he had been offered numerous Bollywood films and with meaty roles in them. However, he did not feel the need to go to the Indian film industry.
“If the film industry was non-existent, it would have been another story. But our cinema is getting to world class level. I’d be crazy to leave right now.”
