ISLAMABAD: Former chief minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday will appear before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) as his interim bail is expiring today in Dadu and Thatta Sugar Mills cases.
The divisional bench of the IHC comprising Justice Aamir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kyani will hear the plea.
He was granted bail in the case by the IHC against surety bonds of Rupees one million each in the cases, and was directed to cooperate with the NAB investigation team.
The NAB team can arrest Mr Shah, if his bail plea was rejected by the honourable court.
The senior politician in his petition contended that he was being politically victimised and claimed that he had been dragged into the case without any solid evidence.

According to the NAB, Shah was accused of failing to protect assets of the Sindh government as a chief minister. The loss was inflicted upon the provincial government by selling the sugar mills for peanuts.
The accountability watchdog notice said the sale of Dadu Sugar Mills had imparted illegal profit to Naudero Sugar Mills.
Shah said that he had been politically active since 1960 when he was elected chairman of the Khairpur district council and then successfully contested the general elections.
