Quetta wears sheet of snow as coldwave hits country

QUETTA: Various areas in Balochistan received snowfall as provincial capital Quetta wore white sheet of snow, ARY News reported on Wednesda.
Pakistan Meteorological Department yesterday predicted rain with snowfall over the hills at scattered places in Pakistan.
Kalat city has received 1 1/2 ft snowfall restricting residents to their homes due to severe weather.
A westerly weather system after causing rainfall in the Middle East, entered Balochistan on Tuesday.
Weather pundits had forecast scattered rain with snowfall over the hills in Makran, Kalat, Quetta and Zhob divisions of Balochistan.
Frosty winds blowing from Quetta have dropped mercury in Karachi with cloudy weather. The met department has forecast showers in the southern port city of Pakistan.
In Punjab, provincial capital Lahore receiving showers as temperatures go down in various parts of the province.
