LONDON: Pakistan Tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his partner Rohan Bopanna faced defeat in second round of men’s doubles event at Wimbledon on Tuesday, ARY News reported.
The defeat ends their journey of third grand slam event of the year that is being played in London.
The eight seed Qureshi-Bopanna were beaten by the North American duo – America’s Jack Sock and Canada’s Vasek Pospisil – after a thrilling competition, where Sock and Pospisil finally emerged triumphant 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5. The match was held over from Monday due to the rain delays in London.
