KARACHI: After witnessing days of cloudy weather in Karachi, monsoon season is finally approaching fast to shower the metropolis within this week, Pakistan Meteorological (Met) Department reported.
The port city will most likely receive rain on Thursday or Friday along with other parts of the country, as per the forecast.
However, today the weather is expected to remain hot and dry in most of the areas of Pakistan except Bannu, D.I.
Khan, D.G. Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Sukkur, Larkana, Sh. Benazirabad, Kalat divisions and Kashmir where rain with thundershower and gusty winds are likely to make the weather pleasant, according to Met office.
The weather monitoring department has forecast monsoon rains to begin from July 1 in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
As the monsoon system approaches, rainy spell will soon dispel the heat and humid environment of Karachi.
