Rainfall in Punjab provides relief to people from searing weather

Rainfall and dust-thundershower occurred at isolated places in Malakand, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir region.

A low pressure lies over central parts of the country with its trough extending south-eastward. Weak moist currents from Arabian sea are still penetrating eastern parts of the country and likely to continue during next two to three days.Westerly wave is still affecting Kashmir and its adjoining areas, met department said in its weather forecast.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast thundershower in various cities of Punjab on Friday (today).

The mercury has go down in Karachi due to cloudy weather. The city weather will remain partially cloudy in next 24 hours with gusty winds that will keep the temperature under check.

However, the plains of Sindh continuously feeling the heat of the scorching weather. The weather in Larkana, Dadu, Moen-jo-Darro, and Sibbi in Balochistan remained at upscale with 48 degree Celsius yesterday. In Shaheed Benazirbad temperature recorded at 47 degree Celsius, Sukkur 46 Celsius, Turbat, Padidan and Rohri 45 degree Celsius.
