Raja Zafar-ul-Haq says no harm in accepting ministers’ resignations

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Raja Zafar-ul-Haq on Sunday said there was no harm in accepting resignations from federal ministers if that improved law and order situation in the country, ARY News reported.

“However, it is feared that the protesters’ demands will increase after resignations are taken,” he said.

The senator said efforts were made to hold talks with the Faizabad Interchange protesters.

He said he had a detailed discussion with the protesters and they discussed formation of a committee for talks among other matters.

Raja Zafar-ul-Haq is heading the inquiry committee formed earlier on the controversial amendment to the Finality of Prophethood declaration for electoral candidates.

He has said that the existing bedlam could be ended by implementing recommendations of his inquiry report.
