Rangers claim to arrest ‘six target killers linked with MQM’

Law enforcement agencies seem to have expedited their actions for the restoration of peace in the megapolis as Rangers personnel today nabbed six suspected target killers said to be affiliated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement.

According to the Rangers spokesperson, suspect Khurram Ilyas is involved in target killing, extortion and concealing arms cache, while suspect Mahmood is an active member of Unit-20 of the MQM who confessed killing 47 people during interrogation.

“Suspect Shahid alias Kala works with Unit-29 and he confessed to have killed six people,” he added.

The spokesperson further said that arrested accused Mubeen is a committee member of MQM Unit-20, he also admitted killing several persons.

Another suspect Kashif alias Machha is a worker of MQM Unit-30 and accused of target killing and extortion demanding.

The suspect Zubair was said to have played important role in clashes with Lyari Gang War and Sunni Tehreek.

Rangers seized a machine gun, repeater, pistols, five kg explosive material and two hand grenades from arrested suspects.

Meanwhile, police arrested another suspected target killer from Ibrahim Haidery.

The suspect Sajid alias Bakra has reportedly confessed killing five people and is linked with a political party.
