“The issue of Rangers stay and powers in Sindh will soon be resolved. The chief minister is chief executive of the issue. Rangers could be called in accordance with law,” he said while talking to media.

He said the government of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) had on priority only to increase its properties. Why Rangers operation was conducted in Punjab?

Khosa said banners calling Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif to take over were put up by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, who wanted himself to become prime minister by removing Nawaz Sharif.

This should be noted that duration of Rangers powers had expired on July 19. The Sindh government did not yet sign summary seeking extension of Rangers policing powers. Interior ministry of Sindh had sent the summary to the CM on July 03.

On the other hand, government sources said the federal government had apprised the provincial government that it had authority to give Rangers powers extension.
