The fact that Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are a couple in real life, is no secret. Ever since the duo starred in Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, they have reportedly also started dating each other. Ranveer Singh has publicly demonstrated feelings of love for the sultry actress at public events.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were together at a stadium in Pune for the launch of their Bajirao Mastani song. Ranveer Singh stated that he was so smitten by his gorgeous co-star that he was willing to wait a lifetime for Padukone.
When media personnel hounded Deepika with questions regarding Ranveer Singh’s statement, the Piku star dodged the queries with a light joke.
“Please ask him in what context. If it is in context of waiting to board a train or meeting at a restaurant.”
Ranveer Singh also gave a funny explanation for his statement, later on.
“It was one of those random, smart wisecracks which I cracked by saying, ‘She is so beautiful that I will wait all my life for her.’ You guys (media) waited since morning for us. So, if you ask me I would say she is so gorgeous that I would wait all my life for her.”
Rumours had also suggested earlier that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had been engaged to each other. However, a few months have passed since then and neither star has confirmed the news, hence it is safe to say that they are not engaged.
Bajirao Mastani is a the second collaboration between Deepika and Ranveer. The two first starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, which produced rave reviews from fans and critics alike. Ranveer plays warrior Bajirao Peshwa and Deepika plays his warrior love interest Mastani. Priyanka Chopra also has an important role in the flick and plays Ranveer Singh’s first wife.
