Shuja Khanzada, speaking at the floor of Punjab Assembly on Tuesday, alleged that a text message was sent to the Manager of Zimbabwe Cricket Team stating that none of his team players would return to their country if they landed in Pakistan.
The home minister also said that the investigation revealed that the number, through which the message was sent, belonged to a RAW official.
Khanzada also claimed that the suicide explosion, which took place in the second ODI at Lahore, was carried out by India’s intelligence agency as well.
Zimbabwe became the first test playing nation in six years to play three ODIs and two Twenty20 games against Pakistan after an attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team back in 2009.
