Illegal lease of government plots through China cutting and other irregularities have caused billions of rupees loss to the national exchequer.

Deputy Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Admiral (retd) Saeed Ahmed Sargana has said that the NAB has written a letter to the government of Sindh about illegal lease of the government land.

He said that 22000 acres of land in Sindh allotted through China Cutting and The 12000 acres lease was cancelled later.

China cutting is basically an illegal practice of carving out big amenity plots, community centres, government plots, parks or even plots for graveyards into smaller plots of upto 100 yards or below each and sale them.
