Rs. 200 and 7 days is what it took for Ambassador Kobler’s parcel to reach Berlin

ISLAMABAD: German Ambassador Martin Kobler became extremely happy after knowing that the parcel he sent to his home in Berlin, has reached within seven days, ARY News reported on Monday.

Expressing his happiness over twitter, the ambassador wrote, “Remember i sent a gift to my family in Berlin with unregistered mail for just 200pkr? Enthusiastic, that it arrived just in 7 days!”.

He also tagged the post to Prime Minister Imran Khan, Federal Ministers Murad Saeed and Fawad Chaudhry.

Later, Mr Kobler called on Minister for Postal Services Murad Saeed, at his office in Islamabad here today, to praise his efforts for the uplift of services of Pakistan Post.

“Germany is interested in cooperation with Pakistan Post,” the German envoy said to the minister.

To this, the minister appreciated the offer of Mr Kobler and said a comprehensive plan will be devised for cooperation with Germany.

The Minster said a reform package is being introduced in Pakistan Post to make it a symbol of national service.

Pakistan Post is engaged in efforts to bring itself on par with private courier companies that remain top choice of customers in need of quick delivery.

In recent months, the federal government has introduced several new services including ‘One Day Courier Delivery System’, which promises to deliver domestic mail within 24 hours.
