The rupee ascended against the dollar and euro on the currency market on Wednesday in the process of trading.
The rupee maintained its journey in the positive territory, gaining 45-paisa against the dollar for buying and selling at Rs 106.60 and Rs 106.65 respectively, they added.
The rupee firmed as it gained 45-paisa in terms of the greenback for buying and selling at Rs 106.15 and Rs 106.25 respectively. It also went up sharply against the euro, rising rupee one for buying and selling at Rs 145.50 and Rs 145.75.
In the third Asian trade, the dollar was on the back foot against the euro and the yen on Wednesday as traders cautiously looked to what the Federal Reserve will do with its stimulus.
