Sachin to play his 199th Test at Eden Garden

KOLKATA: Indian star batsmen Sachin Tendulkar, who has decided to retire from test cricket after completing 200 test matches, will play his 199th Test in Kolkata against West Indies starting from November 6, ARY News reported on Monday.

The King of cricketing world, Sachin Tendulkar is just about to end his cricket career of 24 years, during which he has made such records that about those records other cricketers can only think.

He is the first player to score one hundred international centuries, the first player to score a double century in a One Day International, and thus far the only to complete 34,000 runs in international cricket.

Sachin made his debut in Karachi in 1989, will be his 199th Test of his career and 13th at Eden Garden on Wednesday, which is the first of his two farewell matches.

No cricketer has played more international matches than Sachin on Eden’s hallowed turf.

This fans of little master has been desperately waiting to welcome him in Kolkata.

Fans, about a 1000 people gather outside Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport to await Tendulkar’s arrival. About a 100 of them must be the media.

Sachin will play his last and 200th Test at his home ground in Mumbai which will begin on November 14.
