Sacrifices of LEAs will not go in vain, says PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday said entire nation greatly values the sacrifices rendered by personnel of law enforcement agencies for the security of motherland.

” Sacrifices of LEAs will not go in vain,” he said while talking to the family of Shaheed AIG Ashraf Noor in Islamabad.

Ashraf Noor had embraced martyrdom on November 24 in a terrorist attack in Peshawar.

The prime minister paid tributes to the ultimate sacrifice of the senior police officer and noted that the personnel of law enforcement agencies have rendered enormous sacrifices in the line of their duty.

He said the nation was indeed indebted to each drop of their blood and the mission of our martyrs would continue till its logical end.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi assured that the federal government would continue to provide every possible support to the families of martyrs.

Separately, while addressing the concluding ceremony of 2nd Inter provincial Quaid-i-Azam Games in Islamabad, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the whole nation and security forces had rendered great sacrifices for maintaining peace in the country.

“It is now our responsibility to take the country collectively on road to prosperity earning for it sublime stature in the comity of nations,” he said.

He said the government was trying its best to provide an enabling environment to our young athletes for promoting a culture of sports and healthy competitions.

The premier said sports were inevitable for character building and they reflected a nation`s morale and spirit.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has directed the sports federations to come out of politics and strive for helping Pakistan win medals in next Olympics.

He said it was pleasing that such mega sports events were being held in the country consequent to the restoration of peace.

“It is due to the collective efforts of the army, government, police and the nation that led to organization of such activities,” he said.
