Bollywood superstar Salman Khan who is known for his generosity is in Colombo Sri Lanka, to campaign for President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s election bid.
This is the first time that any Indian actor is roped in for a poll campaign in Sri Lanka. Salman was invited by Rajapaksa’s son Namal along with the former Sri Lnkan beauty and bollywood diva Jacqueline Fernandez.
The 49-year-old star reached Colombo on Sunday after celebrating his birthday in his hometown. Besides Salman and Jaqueline, five other stars have also been roped with the president to support him during his election campaign.
The actors were seen campaigning with the Sri Lankan president, who really needs this support as he suffered a loss of popular support. This campaign will boost the sagging morale of incumbent’s campaign. Salman is not the only Indian to support Rajpksa’s campaign besides him Indian ruling party BJP’s social media handler is also running his campaign through social media.
