The veteran actor is playing father to two daughters Abrish and Aadi (played by Soniya Hussain and Zarnish respectively) and effectively portrays the struggle of a father in a traditional society like ours.

The father faints when Abrish rejects the guy he chose for her on the marriage day in front of guests but had to stand up and let her daughter marry her boyfriend Farhad (played by Junaid Khan) on the condition that she will not enter her father’s house after marriage.

Farhad dies on the wedding night in an accident and Abrish was thrown out of Farhad’s house by her in-laws after being labeled ‘ill-starred’.

After spending a few days at a friend’s house, Abrish comes to her father’s place and his father had to accept his ill fated daughter.

Both Salman Sahid and Soniya Hussain emote in the best manner while trying to fix their damaged relationship.

While his other daughter Aadi, who obeys her father to marry Kashif (played by Gohar Rasheed) had to go through a daily episode of mental torture with Kashif’s attitude who treats her like a maid.

Salman Shahid’s acting and portrayal of a pushed to the limit father in ‘Khuda Na Karay’ is remarkable as he strives to bring smile on both of his daughters by choosing a groom again for Abrish.

Things turn ugly when Aadi’s brother-in-law too asks for Abrish’s hand in marriage.

To know how the troubled father deals with the situation  watch ‘Khuda Na Karay’  as it is aired every Monday at 9:00 pm only on ARY Digital. If you have missed any of the episodes watch them here.

Besides Salman, the drama also stars Salahuddin Tunio, Faizan Khwaja and Asad Siddiqui in important roles.

The son of veteran actress Khursheed Shahid, Salman also played on of the most memorable roles in Pakistani film history as ‘Gogi’ in the movie ‘Na Maloom Afraad’.
