Sargodha Police nab two terrorists planning Muharram attacks

SARGODHA: Police arrested two terrorists who were planning to disrupt the law and order situation during Muharram.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha Zulfiqar Hameed, briefing media persons, said that Police received information about a terror attack plot to disrupt the law and order situation during the holy month.

A special team was formed for the arrest of the two terrorists Usman Muaviya and Qari Aijaz, he said. The police arrested the terrorists in a raid, he further said.

Large cache of weapons and explosives including seven Kalashnikovs, 695 bullets, five hand grenades and other explosives were recovered from the arrested suspects, he said.

The arrested men have been affiliated with a banned group, he added.
