WASHINGTON: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar says he has conveyed Pakistan’s concerns about the possible Indian aggression to American senators.
Speaking to ARY News, the governor, who is in Washington on a visit, said he told the US senators that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can resort to military action against Pakistan, cautioning Pakistan would give a befitting reply to any Indian aggression.
He said he had come to Washington to express gratitude to the Pakistani expats for supporting Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Sarwar said Pakistan wanted ties with the United States based on equality, adding Washington and it allies alone couldn’t eradicate terrorism in Afghanistan.
He demanded Pakistan’s role in the war on terror should be acknowledged.

Earlier, on April 7, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had disclosed India was once again planning military action against Pakistan.
“Pakistan has reliable intelligence that India is hatching a new plot and may resort to military aggression against Pakistan between April 16-20,” the foreign minister said while speaking at an important press conference in Multan.
“An incident similar to Pulwama could recur in the occupied Kashmir valley,” he said, adding the purpose of this sinister plan is to build diplomatic pressure on Pakistan and justify Indian military action.
