Sarwar vows to speak truth regardless of the consequences

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad today, Chaudhry Sarwar said he has stepped down from the post of Governor at his own will adding ” I feel that I can serve country better out of office.”

Chaudhry Sarwar said “I am resigning because the system has failed to deliver to the masses,”

“The system is serving only the elite class and the common man is deprived of justice, rights and prosperity”, he added.

Sarwar complained that people of mafia are much more powerful as compare to the Governor of Punjab.

“I have no differences with Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif”, clarified Sarwar.

Sarwar vowed to speak truth regardless of the consequences.

According to sources, Chaudhry Sarwar had tendered his resignation to President Mamnoon Hussain last night.

On August 2, 2013, he was appointed as the governor of Punjab. Following which, Sarwar renounced his British citizenship.

Sarwar was a successful businessman and a former British politician, who served as a Labour parliamentarian from 1997 to 2010, representing Glasgow Central. He was the first Muslim to sit in the British Parliament.
