‘Saudi crown prince won hearts of Pakistanis’: PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office in Islamabad on Thursday, ARY News reported.

In the wake of Riyadh’s support to Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had won the hearts of the people of Pakistan.

According to a declaration released today, PM Imran Khan hoped that Riyadh would act upon all the decisions on time. He hailed Saudi Arabia for releasing Pakistani prisoners and for increasing Hajj quota.

The statement said that Adel al-Jubeir’s current visit was the continuation of Saudi crown prince’s visit to Pakistan.

Sources said that Adel al-Jubeir conveyed a special message of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman to the prime minister. The sources said that matters of mutual interests, bilateral relations and Pakistan-India tension were also came under discussion.

Earlier in the day, Saudi State Minister for Foreign Affairs Adel al-Jubeir assured his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi of Saudi Arabia’s full cooperation to settle all the outstanding issues between Pakistan and India peacefully.

Saudi Arabian Minister al-Jubeir said this in a meeting with FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad.

They discussed matters of mutual interest, including Pakistan-India tension and regional peace.

The Saudi Arabian state minister is on a day-long visit to Pakistan at the direction of Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, and his tour aims at bringing the tense environment between Pakistan and India to normalcy.
