SC orders appointment of new IG FC in Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered appointment of the new IG Frontier Corps in Balochistan immediately, in contempt of court proceedings against IG FC on Wednesday. 

A bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, also ordered separation of the contempt of court case against IG Frontier Corps from Balochistan lawlessness case.

The court also ordered the authorities to direct the new IG FC for compliance of the court orders. 

The hearing began in a dramatic way when counsel of the IG FC and former attorney general Irfan Qadir uttered harsh words in a charged atmosphere when Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing his last case as the Chief Justice of Pakistan.
