SC re-summons IG FC on Monday in contempt case

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has re-issued a notice to the Inspector General (IG) Frontier Corps (FC) directing him to appear before the court on Monday in the contempt case against him – ARY News reports.

The Chief Justice (CJ) Tassaduq Hussain Jillani has written in his order that the IG FC was clearly directed to appear before the court today, however it is a sadistic state of affairs that the he did not arrived here.

The IG FC was further directed to present himself before the apex court on Monday at any cost.

The IG FC was issued a contempt notice by a 3-member bench of the SC headed by the former CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, but instead of appearing before the court, his attorney Irfan Qadir had stated that he is suffering from a heart disease and is under treatment at a hospital.

At which, the SC had sought the notification of the appointment of acting IG FC, which was submitted today by the additional attorney general Shah Khawar.

Later, the hearing of the case was adjourned till December 24.
