SC suspends tribunal's verdict, orders to stop by-polls in NA-154

The decision was given by a three member bench of the apex court headed by Justice Saqib Nisar today.

Following the court’s verdict, Siddique Baloch’s membership of the National Assembly has been restored.

The court issued notices to all the parties concerned.

The ECP had declared victory of PML-N’s Baloch as null and void on petition of Jehangir Tareen of the PTI. In response, the PML-N leader had approach the apex court to challenge the election commission order.

The by-election in NA-154 was scheduled on October 11.
