SC takes notice of restoring police officer in Owais Shah case

SHO South, who was suspended after abduction of Owais Shah, has been restored. Chief Justice of Pakistan Zaheer Anwer Jamali has taken suo moto notice on restoration of the SHO and ordered the home secretary secretary of Sindh and IG Sindh to show up on July 04.

The chief justice has converted Justice Ameer Hani Muslim’s note on interference in Sindh police into constitutional request. Ameer Hani had written a note calling political interference a violation of law into the high-profile case.

On June 21, son of Chief Justice Sindh High Court Sajjad Ali Shah was kidnapped from Karachi’s Clifton area. Owais Shah was abducted from outside a supermarket.

The kidnapping came as a shock to Sindh prompting provincial administration to issue orders for early recovery of Shah. The law enforcers are still on a hunt for kidnappers.
