WAH CANTT: Interior Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in a press conference on Friday here said that the Supreme Court verdict should not be politicised as every stakeholder was earlier agreed to take the PanamaLeaks matter into the top court, ARY News reported.

“There is no other court over the Supreme Court”, Nisar underlined while dispelling the perception that it was the split-judgment.

“The formation of JIT was a unanimous order as all judges were agreed on it then why to call it a divided judgment”, he added.

He said that there were uncountable verdicts in which some judges in the bench have dissented from majority of the bench but nobody challenged those verdicts.

Remembering the calls for formation of Joint Investigation Team, he said that it was demanded by the opposition party earlier for the formation of JIT having representation of intelligence agencies in the committee. “The court has ordered for formation of JIT then why are they opposing it now”, he added.

Nisar lambasted former president Asif Ali Zardari for hurling allegations against PML-N leaders by stating, “The one who is issuing certificates under Article 62 and 63 of the constitution should first consider himself first.”

Moreover, he said that those giving calls of protests were denying state institutions and their sole purpose is to prevail uncertainty and chaos in the country rather than to serve the masses.
