Scorching summer will continue to torment Pakistan

Scorching heatwave will prevail in Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Shaheed Benazirabad in Sindh, Sibi and Makran divisions in Balochistan and plains of Punjab.

Temperatures are rising and the summer has hit hard to the citizens in Sindh’s plains amid prolonged power outages in Karachi and other areas making the life unbearable for the people.

The temperatures in Larkana yesterday reached to 51 degree Celsius, Sindh’s ancient city of Mohenjodaro and Jacobabad parched under the sun at 50 degree Celsius, Sibi, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad and Rahimyar Khan registered 49 degree Celsius, Padidan, Dadu and Rohri on 48 degree Celsius.

The weather department has predicted hot and dry weather during this week.

The temperatures will not soar in coastal areas of Pakistan as high as in the plains of Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The mercury will remain under 40 degree Celsius in Karachi due to the winds blowing from Arabian Sea. The residents of the metropolis, however, suffering from long hours of power outages during days and also in nights due to faulty power supply in the city.
