Sources told that a road from central jail to old Sabzi Mandi had been blocked following threat of jailbreak by the terrorists.
Cell phone jammers are already installed in the area covering considerable distance from Jail road flyover to New Town area, causing hardships to thousands of residents living in the area.
The law enforcement agencies have not specified the period for closure of Jail road.
It may be noted here that the same road was closed for traffic for around 30 days some months back owing to security threats.
