Militants attacked a security checkpost in Ghundi area of Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency tribal area. Six terrorists were killed by the retaliatory fire from the security forces.
The attackers fled without the bodies of their slain accomplices.
The forces surrounded the area and launched a search operation for the arrest of the terrorist.
It should be noted that the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had confirmed that three of their senior commanders were killed during clashes with security forces at Khyber Agency three days ago.
