Unidentified armed men accosted the boy in Qazi Qila area of Faqirabad and opened fire on him, thus causing his instant death.
The deceased was identified as Musarrat Shah. He was enrolled in a local seminary of the area and belonged to Kakakhel. Police said the victim sustained only a single bullet that led to his death.
They said a case was registered against unknown culprits and probe had begun into the incident.
