Mohammed Sadiq Siddiqui, 51, Vice President NBP, went to Rado Bakery for grocery shopping where two armed goons tried to deprive him of his car and other valuables, said a police officer.
When he resisted, the robbers opened fire at him and fled from the scene with the snatched car, official said.
The victim sustained critical wounds and died on spot.
The body was later shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for postmortem.
