Services chiefs call on PM Imran, discuss national security

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (JCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat and all the three services chiefs, Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi met with Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Matters of mutual interest, national security, regional situation and professional matters pertaining to the armed forces were discussed in the meeting.

Preparations for the Pakistan Day celebrations were also came under discussion in the meeting.

It is pertinent to mention here that  Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr Mahathir bin Mohammad would grace the Pakistan Day Parade on March 23rd as guest of honour, said Director General of military’s media wing Major General Asif Ghafoor on March 13.

From the official Twitter account of DG Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Ghafoor had  informed that the Malaysian PM would be the guest of honour while other guests include Defence Minister of Azerbaijan, Chief of Army Staff of Bahrain and government officials from Oman.
