Sethi back again as SC invalidates PCB notification

Najam Sethi can now continue working as chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), ruled the SC.

The hearing into the case for appointment of PCB chief was adjourned till indefinite period.

A notification, underlining appointment of Justice (retd) Jamshed Ali as acting PCB chief was also suspended following the SC directives.

Earlier during the hearing, Justice Saqib Nisar had remarked that the newly-enacted constitution of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was illegal. He asked how could the PCB issue notification regarding enactment of new constitution when the matter was already sub-judice.

The judge ruled that notification regarding PCB constitution was tantamount to interference in court proceedings.
