Seven key institutions not having permanent chiefs, NA committee told

ISLAMABAD: The Standing Committee of the National Assembly (NA) on Information and Broadcasting criticized the Government for not appointing permanent directors in seven key institutions of the state, during its meeting earlier today – ARY News reports.

The meeting of the standing committee was presided by the chairperson, Marvi Memon, during which members of the committee expressed serious reservations over the report presented by the Secretary Information.

The Secretary Information in his briefing to the committee, told that no permanent chairman or director is working in seven different institutions including PEMRA.

At this, the member of the committee Imran Laghari while criticizing the Government, inquired why are acting chiefs appointed in seven key institutions.

He said that the performance of the Ministry of Information and the Secretary is not satisfactory.

Moreover, the meeting slammed the Information Secretary for not appointing directors and chairmen on permanent basis.
