The fans and players both are well aware that there is no love loss between the two sides and the matches have always been high-voltage and nail-biting.

The Pak-India cricketing rivalty has produced some memorable moments that will be cherished forever.

1. The Shahid Afridi show breaks Indian hearts

Shahid Afridi’s heroics in 2014 edition of Asia Cup will be remembered by cricketing fans.

Pakistan, chasing 246 runs to win, needed 10 runs to win with two wickets in hand. Indian skipper Virat Kohli gave the ball to Ravi Ashwin for taking the two wickets and winning the game for the Men in Blue. The spinner managed to bowl out Saeed Ajmal but Junaid Khan took a single and gave the strike to Afridi.

Afridi, knowing it was upto him, hit two consecutive sixes in the over and winning the hearts of millions with his hitting.

2. Wahab Riaz’s fireworks in the 2011 semi-final

Wahab Riaz took dismissed Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh on consecutive deliveries in the semi-final of the 2011 edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup.

Virat Kohli was caught by Umar Akmal after scoring nine runs while Yuvraj Singh was clean bowled by a yorker on the next ball.

He went on to take five wickets for 46 runs in his 10 overs.

3. India beats Pakistan to win the 2007 World Twenty20

India emerged victorious in the first ever World Twenty20by defeating Pakistan by five runs.

Pakistan, needing 13 runs to be crowned champions, fell five runs short as Misbah-ul-Haq was caught by Sreesanth as he attempted a ramp shot off Joginder Sharma’s bowling. Since that over, Joginder Sharma is a missing person.

4. Sachin Tendulkar faces Mohammad Amir

Before being banned over his involvement in the 2010 spot fixing scandal, Mohammad Amir dismissed the Indian great Sachin Tendulkar caught behind in the 2009 edition of the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa.

It proves that Mohammad Amir undoubtedly has the skills to dismiss quality batsmen with his bowling.

5. India ‘bowls-out’ Pakistan in the 2007 World T20

The match between Pakistan and India had to be decided in a bowl out after Pakistan failed to reach their target of 142 runs set by India in their 2007 World Twenty20 game at Durban.

India’s Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Robin Uthappa managed to hit the stumps while Umar Gul, Shahid Afridi and Yasir Arafat missed their targets.

6. Mohammad Asif rips through Indian batting in Karachi Test

Mohammad Asif took seven wickets against the Indian side in the 2006 Karachi test to help the green shirts win the match by a whooping 341 runs.

Asif took four for 78 in 19.1 overs in the first innings which included the dismissal of Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh and Zaheer Khan.

He proved to be more deadlier in India’s second innings as he bowled India’s Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar.

7. Junaid Khan blows away Indian top order on their home soil

In the 2012 one day series against Pakistan, Indian batsmen had no reply to pacer Junaid Khan as he made quick work of their top batting order in the first power play of the first ODI at Chennai.

He bowled Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh and Rohit Sharma in the match.

The fast bowlers went on to take eight wickets in the three match series, which Pakistan won 2-1.
