Shab-e-Baraat to be celebrated tonight

Shab-e-Baraat (The night of Emancipation) will be celebrated by Muslims across the world tonight.

Shab-e-Baraat gives a chance to the people to seek forgiveness from the Almighty. It is said that the night welcomes the holy month of Ramadan.

The people should also forgive each other on the blessed occasion. The doors of repentance and blessings are opened on this night.

People visit the graves of their loved ones and prayers are held all night. The people fast the next day as a part of Sunnah.

Various delicacies and dishes are also made and distributed on this night.
