The actor, who first cut a birthday cake with wife Gauri, children Aryan and Suhana, later stepped out in the balcony to wave and thank his fans for their love.

Numerous wishes from celebrities, cricketers, politicians and his co-stars were sent to King Khan on his 50th birthday. But Salman Khan’s wish was distinguished as the special one.

Shah Rukh in a balcony of his residence, thanks hundreds of fans for birthday wishes.

Shah Rukh and Salman’s reconciliation seems to have been the best thing to happen to the industry last year. The two Khans, who have a huge fan-following and rule the box-office, are friends now and are also wishing each other on birthdays.

Salman, who is busy promoting Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, took the opportunity of a media interaction to wish his friend. He said, “I wish him all the best. I wish him best of health, family, and a successful life. I wish his whole family always stay healthy. I wish his children take his name forward and go beyond what Shah Rukh did.”

Some of SRK quotes as follows:

– SRK hasn’t become a philosopher just like that. It’s the dint of his hard work that has brought him here. And thereby, he advises others to do the same. He says, “Don’t become a philosopher before you become rich.” Point taken, SRK.

– It’s often said that one fine night, at the Mumbai bandstand, SRK climbed the pavement and said, “One day, I am going to rule this city.” And he did. Biggest lesson: Live now, live today -don’t be bound by rules, live your own dream.”

– Moving on to some funny ones, we have the best answer any celebrity can give to the media asking some not-so-pleasing questions. When SRK was asked, “Salman Khan was moved to tears during your stage appearance together at Sensations 2005, when you said kind words about him. Is your relationship going well now?” SRK replied: “Yeah, it’s going really well. We’re planning to have a baby together soon.”

– At the launch of one of the seasons of IPL, as SRK owns Team KKR, Mandira Bedi asked him, “Do you think having Shilpa Shetty (Rajasthan Royals) and Preity Zinta (Kings XI Punjab) as rival team owners will sour their relations with you?” SRK, who has worked with Mandira in the cult classic ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, had a perfect reply: “Well, I hope not. You see, I started both their careers. And as far as I can remember, I started yours too.”
