On July 10, the JIT probing offshore assets of the ruling family submitted its final report in court which said that  “he is in possession of assets beyond known sources of income”. The panel also disclosed that the prime minister was the chairman of a board in another offshore company, FZE Capital UAE.

After the report, a number of legal experts believe that it will not be easy for the prime minister to escape disqualification under Article 62(1)(f) of the Constitution.

Speaking exclusively to ARY News, former Governor Punjab and a top PML-N dissident Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa on Wednesday expressed severe disappointment over what came out of JIT report.

“Opposition parties were leveling serious allegations on PM and his family but now that this (JIT) report has been submitted to the court, they are speaking,” said Khosa, adding that everyone who is with the Sharifs is worried about his own survival.

Khosa, who once was very close to the Sharif brothers, had revolted against them and announced uniting all factions of the Pakistan Muslim League against the PML-N, maintained that a number of PML-N members are in contact with him after the JIT report.
