According to details, Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif sought the report of the incident from the IG Punjab. He directed the officials to arrest the miscreants behind the incident.
Shahbaz said no body will be allowed to ruin peace, while he appealed the people to remain calm and not to lose patience.
He advised the workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) not to react at all over provocative statements of the opponents.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the culprits and a police team has also been formed for their arrest.
On the other hand, patron in-chief of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Asif Ali Zardari condemned the attack on Imran Khan’s rally in Gujranwala. He said that such incidents cannot be accepted at all, while non-tolerance will only result in increasing political strain.
He demanded the authorities to probe the matter and to arrest the ones responsible.
