PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai on Thursday said that the presentation of a supplementary budget is not an unconstitutional act as the move was also adopted by previous government, ARY News reported.

Shahram Khan Tarakai, while addressing a session of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly, rejected allegations of making an action beyond constitutional boundaries by presenting supplementary budget for 2018-19.

“Previous governments had also presented supplementary budget [in their tenures],” he said.

“Impression is being created like the rivers of milk and honey were flowing during the tenures of previous governments,” slammed Tarakai.

The minister said that a technical university is being constructed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province for the first time in history of Pakistan. He added that the provincial government will soon overcome the shortage of medicines in hospitals.

“Nationals will be provided Sehat Insaf cards in near future,” he reiterated.
