He said that the prime minister was monitoring the government affairs from London.
The PM House spokesman said that Nawaz Sharif will undergo the open-heart surgery in London on the advice of the doctors.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will take care of the government affairs, in PM’s absence, in consultation with other ministers, until Nawaz Sharif undergoes an open-heart surgery on Tuesday, May 31.
Maryam Nawaz in a tweet has also confirmed that the prime minister who is in London for medical check-up has been advised to undergo the surgery by his doctors.
She said the prime minister had a cardiac procedure during which certain complications occurred resulting in perforation of heart.
Maryam Nawaz said Nawaz Sharif will be on specific medication for the next three days before his surgery on Tuesday.
Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif while talking to a news channel has said the doctors have advised the prime minister to take one-week rest after the surgery.
