The SHC single bench comprises of Justice Muneeb Akhtar withdrawn stay order after hearing the arguments of the counsels of the two sides.
The counsel of Bahria Town filed an application requesting the court to allow it to resume construction work on the traffic improvement project, after an environment impact assessment report issued by the Sindh Environment Protection Agency (SEPA). He submitted that since the SEPA had accorded its approval to the project, the builder be allowed to start work on the project.
The court in previous hearing had issued notice to relevant authorities to file comments on the application.
The bench today after arguments of counsels decided to cancel the stay against the project.
