Sheikh the 'front man' spills the beans

Muhammad Ali Sheikh, who was taken into custody at Karachi airport yesterday while he was sneaking out of country, has named several people involved in corruption in pubic departments, purchase of public lands on cheaper rates, bribe and other malpractices.

Our correspondent Kamil Arif citing sources told the ‘front man’ has named the ones who purchased thousands of acres of lands at extremely lower rates.

Sheikh confessed the appointments of people in different departments either against receiving bribe or due to their connections with political figures, he added.

“The appointments were made from BPS-16 to 21 and those officials later facilitated the political figures,” Muhammad Ali Sheikh confessed before the investigators. “Some big-shots received tens of millions of rupees from different public departments.”

Arif further reported that a list of the government officials has also been made who were involved in such practices.
